The Purpose

This is the first "blog" I have ever composed. The reason I am beginning to put my thoughts on the Internet are 2: (1) I would like to encourage those both inside and outside of the Faith so they may may see their need of Jesus Christ more. (2) This may be a great way for me to remember the great things that the Lord is revealing to me. I do not believe this will ONLY be a theological blog. However, a lot of what will be said will have a theological background. I would like to just post random thoughts that come to mind as well.

With that being said I would like to quote a favorite verse of mine to begin, though it is an odd one to quote after what was said.

Look among the nations, and see;
wonder and be astounded.
For I am doing a work in your days
that you would not believe if told.
For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans...

Just like it was unbelievable that God would raise up the godless Chaldeans to punish Israel, God's chosen nation, it is unbelievable that godless men would kill the Son of God (Acts 13:26-41). I have been astounded at what the Lord has done in my life. How could the Author of Life be killed by godless men? How could the Creator be killed by the creature, yet it was so. However, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and is now alive. This has been a perfect picture of how the Lord has revealed Himself to me lately. God can take the most apathetic of sinners and reveal His power through them. For it is not done "by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."
